CRONULLA AND PORT HACKING BIG SEAS JUNE 2016
I braved the wind and rain today and went down to Cronulla to check out the ocean. I ended up staying for most of the day, as there was plenty to see. .
The swell coming through the mouth of the Port Hacking was huge, and went all the way across to Bundeena. These brave souls from Elouera Surf Club enjoyed themselves catching waves all the way into the Fisheries before paddling back out for another wave.
One boat sitting high and dry at Bundeena. The Ferry wharf copped a pounding.
Huge amounts of foam were sprayed up onto Oak Park.
Three boats had broken off their moorings and were sitting high and dry on the rocks at Bundeena. The foam that was being thrown up at Oak Park pavillion looked like a pavlova or milk shake. If you want to check out the rest of the images simply go to the gallery.
All images were shot using Canon 5D mk 2/3 and 70-200mm + 200-400mm L series lenses. Cameras were protected by Think Tank rain covers.
